Youth of the European People's Party

Position Overview

YEPP is seeking a motivated and dynamic Executive Officer to join our team in Brussels. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for European politics, project management, event organisation, and the day-to-day management of an international organisation. The position is full-time and offered under an open-ended Belgian employment contract.

About YEPP

YEPP is the largest youth political organisation that unites 59 centre-right youth political organisations from 39 countries. Representing the youth within Christian-Democratic and Liberal-Conservative ideologies, YEPP aims to create a modern Europe capable of facing challenges by fostering youth engagement in politics and encouraging their participation in democratic institutions.

Executive Officer

The Executive Officer is based in Brussels and works under the supervision of the Secretary General and President. Together with the leadership, the Executive Officer contributes to the day-to-day management and development of YEPP.

Main Responsibilities

Administrative and Organisational

  • Organise YEPP meetings and events in cooperation with member organisations, foundations and external partners across Europe.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for YEPP member organisations
  • Prepare and coordinate the President’s, Secretary General’s and Board Members’ meetings and official engagements, while providing administrative, logistical and organisational support to the YEPP Board, including briefings and accompaniment
  • Manage the organisation’s financial administration, including invoices, payments and budget monitoring, in close cooperation with the external accountant and auditors.
  • Welcome and assist visitors to the YEPP office.
  • Prepare, submit and manage operational grant applications and reporting procedures with the European Commission.

Political

  • Edit and coordinate policy papers.
  • Coordinate policy initiatives and campaigns with the European People’s Party (EPP)

Profile

We are looking for a motivated and proactive person with:

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in a political youth organisation, the European People’s Party, an EU institution, or a similar international environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in commanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.
  • Knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
