Severin was born in 1990 and grew up in Weiherhammer, a Bavarian town in Germany. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration at the University of Applied Science in Amberg-Weiden, Germany, and is currently working towards an MBA in Digital Business Management.

Before his academic pursuits, Severin had diverse experiences. He completed an apprenticeship in a multinational corporation and served in two German army’s military police units for nine months.

In his professional life, Severin works as a project manager for a foundation and advises the chairman of the board. He also serves as the CEO of a spin-off company connected to the foundation.

Severin’s journey into politics started early. At just 15, he joined the Junge Union (JU), later becoming involved with CSU Bayern. He quickly rose through the ranks, leading his local JU chapter for a decade and holding positions in county and district boards as vice president.

In 2020, Severin was elected to the federal board of Junge Union Deutschlands. Today, he holds various positions within CSU Bayern.

Severin’s public service began when he was elected to the community council at the age of 18, making him the youngest official in Bavaria. He’s been re-elected for three consecutive terms. Between the ages of 24 and 33, he served as Vice Mayor of his hometown. Since 2020, he has been a member of the county council and leads the JU-Fraction.

In October 2022, Severin received a unanimous nomination for the YEPP-Board at the national convention of JU Deutschlands. He was later elected at the YEPP-Congress in Braga in June 2023.
