Florian Gasser grew up in Feldthurns, a small village in Südtirol, an autonomic region in Italy. As the first academic in his family, he conducted a PhD in Management at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland. He currently manages the Master in Marketing Management at the HSG and is a lecturer at the Free University of Bolzano and the HSG in fields like Marketing Management, Comparative Politics and Technology and AI. Previously he studied in Austria and in the US in the fields of European Politics, Accounting, Auditing & Taxation and International Business & Economics. His current research focuses on electoral analysis, European integration, and social media and tourism decision-making behavior.

He has been politically engaged for over ten years in various initiatives and was among others a speaker at the European Forum Alpbach, the European Seniors’ Union Regional Conference Bolzano, and the “Südsterne Network”. He has been Head of the Delegation of YEPP for the Junge Generation der Südtiroler Volkspartei since 2021. In June 2023, at the YEPP Congress in Braga, Florian was elected Vice-President of YEPP.
