YEPP welcomes Bosnia and Herzegovina’s application for EU membership

Youth of the European People's Party

The Youth of the EPP welcomes the news that Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted its application for membership to the European Union.

Two decades after the end of the war, the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina have struggled to overcome divisions that led to one of the darkest moments in Europe’s collective history. This application for membership shows the positive strides the country has made towards broad reform. The Union was built out of a shared desire for peace in Europe, and in this time of difficulty, it is deeply encouraging to witness Bosnia and Herzegovina’s application.

We strongly believe that Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue its commitments to the principles of the European Union – freedom, security, prosperity and solidarity.
