Russian Interference in national elections and Moldova’s Path to the EU membership – with Siegfried Muresan
Foreign interference in national elections has become a growing concern in Europe. The recent elections in Romania and Moldova have been emblematic examples of this. Firstly, with attempts to prevent the election of pro-European President Maia Sandu in Moldova, and secondly, by pushing for pro-Russian leader Călin Georgescu to win the then-annulled elections in Romania in 2024.
