Silva Mertsola, born in 1994 in Helsinki, Finland, is a European by heart. She has studied political science at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, and is currently working as a public governance consultant at an international think tank based in Helsinki. Her main interests lie at the intersection of political thought and public policy, which is why she will be studying Philosophy and Public Policy at LSE in London during the 2021-2022 academic year. Within politics, Silva has been serving as international secretary of the Youth of the National Coalition Party since 2020, and she is currently a deputy member of the Helsinki City Council.
