Roland Mittmann was born in Mainz in 1983 and grew up in the Frankfurt area. He studied Historical Indo-European, German and Computational Linguistics in Freiburg, Giessen and Frankfurt and has been working as a Research Associate for several universities and institutes in Germany and abroad. In the 15 years of his political activity for Junge Union, CDU and Young European Federalists (JEF), he has worked in various thematic fields and on all organizational levels. Apart from his engagement with YEPP, he is Deputy Federal Chairman of Junge Union and Deputy Chairman of Junge Union’s International Commission. In CDU, he is active as Co-Chairman of the State Expert Committee on Economy and Transport in Hesse and as Chairman of his local executive board. He has political mandates as a Member of the Bad Homburg City Council and as a Member of the Assembly of the Hochtaunus Transport Association.
